This policy explains what information GoBoost Naija receives when you use our website, why we use it, and the choices available to you. Please do not submit information you do not have permission to share.
Information We Handle
- Account details: name, email address, password credentials, occupation, city, state, and any referral name you provide when registering.
- Orders: the social platform and service selected, target profile or post link, quantity, category or country, quoted price, payment method, order reference, and order/payment status.
- Wallet and transfers: deposit amount, wallet balance and changes, transfer reference, payment confirmation, and temporary account details returned to arrange a bank transfer. GoBoost Naija accepts transfers and does not ask for card details on this site.
- Support and requests: your email, issue type, optional order reference, report text, WhatsApp number, and account preferences or notes submitted through the custom account request form.
- Giveaway submissions: the link to your post and the platform it is on.
- Referral and browser data: referral codes, sign-in state, and limited pending-order or transfer details saved in your browser so the site can remember your session and resume an unfinished transaction.
How We Use Information
We use this information to create and secure accounts, calculate and submit orders, arrange and confirm bank transfers, maintain wallet balances, provide order history, process referral attribution, respond to support requests, investigate payment or service problems, prevent misuse, and meet applicable record-keeping obligations.
When you contact us through WhatsApp, WhatsApp receives the information you choose to send there and handles it under its own terms and privacy policy.
Storage and Retention
Our backend stores application records in MongoDB accessed through Mongoose. Mongoose is the software used to work with the database; it is not itself the database host. Account, order, and transaction records are kept while needed to provide the service and for as long afterward as reasonably needed to resolve open transactions, support requests or disputes, protect the service, and meet applicable legal, tax, or accounting obligations. Records are deleted or anonymized when they are no longer needed for those purposes.
The current website also stores some information on your device. Referral details carry a 30-day expiry and are ignored after that; guest order references are eligible to be claimed for 24 hours. Expired entries may remain in browser storage until the site next processes them or you clear storage. Pending transfer details are kept so the site can resume checking the payment and are normally cleared when the transaction is resolved, cancelled, or processed as expired; if you do not return to the site, they may remain on your device until then. Sign-in data remains until you sign out or clear browser storage. Clearing browser storage may interrupt a pending transaction or sign-in session.
When Information Is Shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share only what is needed with the backend and database infrastructure that runs the service, bank-transfer or payment partners that arrange or confirm payments, and service-fulfilment partners that process your order. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect users, the business, or the service.
The website loads interface icons from the third-party cdnjs service. Your browser makes a normal request to that service when the page loads. Social platforms and WhatsApp/Telegram are independent services and have their own privacy policies.
Your Choices and Requests
You may ask to access or correct your account information, request deletion where we are not required to retain it, or ask a privacy question. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Contact us on WhatsApp at +234 906 418 7768.
Security and Updates
We use reasonable safeguards for information handled through the service, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. We may update this policy when our practices change. The effective date above shows the latest version posted here.
This policy is intended to describe current website practices and should be reviewed against the backend configuration and applicable Nigerian data-protection requirements.
